' Winning back your ex' VS. ' How long does it take to get over an ex'
Love is on everybody's mind. I sometimes get the impression that everything evolves around it. 80% of what's projected from the television screens deals with the topic. There will always be another Dr.Phil giving a good relationship advice or another desperate house wife cheating on her husband before the big breakup. Books are no different. You can find a lot of titles that promise advice on how to get over an ex or even how to get your ex boyfriend back. In celebrity magazines we see the same thing. They publish information about celebrity breakups and cheating.
We are clearly obsessed by the subject and everything that's related to it.
Please don't think I'm against it. On the contrary I'm all for love and think people should talk about it more, but in a slightly different form. The topic should be discussed more in industrialized countries like The Russian federation and Netherlands. These countries see a diminishing population. In many of those countries people think more about their work and how they will succeed in life. While in reality success is often a matter of having a good family. Media praises money and riches and pays less attention to love. Don't get me wrong, 'romantic' shows still get a lot of air time there too. Alas, they show scenes of drama and tragedy, we don't see enough family happiness and unity. A movie that praises cheating such as desperate housewives should may be praise procreation. Books that talk about how to get over an ex don't help either. Why is it so hard to find a book that will explain how to fix a relationship and help you get your lover back? In my humble opinion those things will do more good than harm.
In certain parts of the country 1 out of 3 couples divorces after a mere 2 years of marriage. When will it end? Those are mind blowing statistics! Did people stop trying to fix their problems and simply abandon ship? What happened to 'till death do us apart'? If a husband finds out that his wife is cheating he might jump the boat but... What caused this infidelity? May be it was caused by a grave mistake on the part of the husband? Could it be a minor change in the way the couple communicated? Big things can be accomplished with minor tweaks. They say that number one reason that makes wives leave is the lack of appreciation.
So let's appreciate each other more. Let's look beyond things that differentiate us and concentrate on things that unite us. Let's be tolerant to each other. We can choose the feelings of fondness instead of anger. For we shall pass here but once.
