Natural Skin Care Tips for Adult Acne

by Abigail McKenzee

Once you've come out of puberty you never have to worry about another pimple again, however, that isn't true for everyone. A lot of people actually develop what is known as adult acne.

Just like teenage acne, there seems to be no particular cause. Many specialists say that adult acne is linked to genetics or hormones, but no matter the cause, there is always a viable treatment.

Before you decide that your acne condition doesn't require real attention, keep in mind that untreated acne can lead to acne scarring. I'm sure you can see the benefits of treating your acne regularly versus treating your acne scars.

There are several treatment options, but not enough time to cover them all in depth. So, this time around we'll concentrate on one in particular: natural skin care for adult acne.

Natural Acne Treatment

For the most part, acne is treated with a medicated acne cream and a rigorous cleansing routine. However, if you don't like using medical treatments or have had a bad experience, you might want to try natural methods which are not only more gentle but just as effective.

In general, you should avoid popping any pimples or picking at any scabs. Both of these actions will promote redness and irritation as well as lead to scarring. Also, try and keep your hair out of your face. Hair can easily transfer oils and possible bacteria to your skin.

Another helpful tip is to avoid eating fried foods or junk foods. Your skin and overall health will benefit more from fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, wash your sheets frequently (every other day, if possible). Now, let's take a look at the natural products that you can use on your face to alleviate your acne problems.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is gathered from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree which originates from Australia. It contains bacteria-fighting substances called "terpenes" which make it very effective against acne. Acne is often caused by bacteria and the terpenes can destroy or weaken them.

Tea tree oil has very little side effects. However, it can irritate sensitive skin, so proceed with caution.

Aloe Vera

The watery gel from this succulent plant is very effective against acne. It is very rich in enzymes and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

Honey

Honey has been used as an anti-bacterial product for centuries. Because of its low water content and acidic pH level, it is difficult for bacteria to proliferate.

This is great news for acne sufferers. As mentioned above, acne is generally caused by bacteria. By applying honey masks, you can help eliminate these bacteria.

A good acne treatment is key for preventing acne scars and promoting healthy skin. BIOSKINFORTE is an adult acne cream that contains and revolutionary natural ingredient - snail serum. This miraculous ingredient has antiseptic and anti bacterial properties that help combat the bacteria that are responsible for causing acne.
